Career planning at all ages can be isolating. Individual goals, interests, and strengths push people to run separate races.
Students who feel part of a community are far more likely to stay in education and succeed. Young professionals who feel supported to grow outpace their peers. Leaders who prioritise continuous learning and impact have better outcomes.
Career conversations can be uncomfortable. People of all ages feel pressured into decisions, when exploration is key to finding the future that suits you.
The Career Collective Project is here to fix that roadblock.
CAREER COLLECTIVE
The Career Collective Project is a collaboration between the Hargraves Institute and leading Australian industry, education, research, and skills organisations.
Career Collective offers research-informed tools, individual development programs, student-led programs, and work integrated learning to help people at different career stages explore interests, define skills and opportunities for development, and prepare for their future.
The Career Collective Project was founded to make work less frustrating for everyone. We give school and university students hands-on tools for exploration, language for career readiness, and the opportunity for community with their peers.

“The Sprint really pushed me to take time and reflect on my personal strengths, what I value in a career and exploring what roles are really out there because that is how I can discover what kind of work is best suited for me.
It encouraged me to rethink my goals and model them to be more realistic, personal, and genuine.”
"As a graduate student I've realised the importance of being intentional in early career planning and development, and the Jumpstart Sprint provides a platform to invest in exactly that.
Taking the time to understand my strengths, weaknesses and values enhances my employability skills and creates a stronger foundation for future decisions”
